Digimarc codes
Products for the US and German markets often have to carry Digimarc codes – this is frequently a requirement for working with retail chains. As one of the first printers in Poland, we already produce labels with an embedded Digimarc code for our Clients.
The Digimarc system
The Digimarc system works by making a package appear to special readers (cameras with dedicated software) as if it were covered on all sides with barcodes. The consumer sees the marketing part, while the system sees the remaining information. In addition to classic barcode coding, the package has Digimarc coding embedded in its artwork. This is a solution for the transition period, while the system is only just entering the market.
The package can be distributed in chains that do not yet have Digimarc reading systems.
Customers benefit from the coding too, as they can use an app to learn more about the product than what is shown on the package (e.g. recipes, product tests, reviews, etc.). As one of the first printers in Poland, we already produce labels with an embedded Digimarc code for our Clients, intended for the German and US markets. We provide Digimarc code verification reports to the Client.
